What is Medical Tourism?
Medical tourism is the act of traveling, either to another country or within one’s own to receive medical, dental, or surgical care. Many choose this path to access more economical or specialized treatment, often of equal or even higher quality than what’s available at home. At its heart, medical tourism is about seeking the best possible care with hope, dignity, and trust guided by the desire for healing and a better quality of life.
How can I save costs with medical tourism?
You can save significantly with medical tourism by choosing countries where high-quality treatments are offered at much lower costs, often due to lower labor and administrative expenses. Surgeries that are expensive in your home country can be far more affordable in India. It offers world-class care at competitive prices, allowing you to access the same (or better) treatment without the financial burden.
Is Medical Tourism Safe?
Yes, medical tourism is safe, especially when thoughtfully planned with the right support. In countries like India, where many hospitals are JCI-accredited and home to highly experienced doctors, patients can receive care that meets international standards. We understand that at times medical treatment can feel overwhelming for some, that’s why we’re here to guide you every step of the way, with compassion, transparency, and your well-being at heart.
Why should I consider medical tourism over local treatment?
Considering medical tourism over local treatment can be a smart move, especially if you're looking for more economical options without compromising on quality. Many destinations offer treatments at a fraction of the cost you’d pay locally, yet in JCI-accredited hospitals that meet international safety and care standards. Plus, you’ll often find state-of-the-art technology and highly trained specialists, sometimes with shorter wait times.
How much will be the total budget for my medical tourism?
The total budget for your medical tourism to India will depend on the type of treatment you need, the hospital grade you choose (A, B, or C), and your personal preferences. You'll need to account for medical and consultation fees, flight fares, local transportation (cab/taxi), hotel accommodation, daily meals, and any optional tourism activities. We’ll provide a detailed cost breakdown to help you plan ahead and avoid unexpected expenses.
What is a medical tourism facilitator?
A medical tourism facilitator is your trusted guide and agent, acting as the bridge between you and international hospitals or doctors. They help you find the best hospitals and super-specialists in your preferred destination, manage your accommodation, and assist with travel arrangements. Some facilitators even help plan any sightseeing or tours you’d like to enjoy during your stay, making your entire medical journey smooth and hassle-free.

Throughout this process, your preferences and comfort remain a priority, you have the final say in selecting the doctor. What about the doctors who are treating the patients? Are they well experienced?
Absolutely. One of the main reasons people choose medical tourism is to access highly skilled doctors who specialize in their specific treatment. We carefully connect you with experienced, trusted doctors who are leaders in their fields. While every surgery carries some risks, you can feel confident knowing your care is in expert hands.
Can I get a second opinion before deciding?
Yes, you can absolutely get a second opinion before making any decisions about your treatment. We’ll help you connect with another super-specialist for a fresh perspective. Please note that an additional consultation fee will apply for the second opinion.
If I’m taking a companion, when can he or she travel?
Your companion is welcome to join you throughout your medical journey. They can travel with you or meet you at your destination, whatever works best for your situation. Just ensure they have a valid passport and, if required, a visa based on their country of citizenship and the destination country’s entry requirements.
Where will the patient and his/her companion stay?
Your comfort and recovery are our priority. We'll help you choose the right hospital and arrange accommodations that best suit your needs, whether you're traveling alone or with a companion, so you can focus on healing with peace of mind.

What if the patient requires more appointments or follow-up care after the surgery?
It’s important to plan your follow-up care before returning home. We recommend staying in India long enough to complete any necessary post-operative appointments with your original doctor, as this ensures continuity of care and supports a smooth recovery. Seeing a different practitioner too soon may interrupt your healing process.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept multiple payment methods to suit your needs, including bank transfers, credit/debit cards, and digital payment options. For patients from GCC countries, treatments are usually covered by insurance, especially for Bangladeshi and Indian expats. Our team will guide you through the payment process based on your location and coverage.
Why is it cheaper?
The treatment is often cheaper not because of lower quality, but due to differences in labour and insurance costs. In countries like the U.S. and U.K., a significant portion of healthcare expenses goes toward administrative staff and insurance overheads. In contrast, India offers high-quality care at a fraction of the cost, largely because labour and insurance expenditures are much lower, without compromising on the standard of treatment.
Do I need to tell my doctor?
You’re not required to inform your doctor at home, but we do recommend discussing your plans with them, especially if you're considering a medical procedure abroad. Your family doctor can offer valuable insights, share your medical history if needed, and support you with any follow-up care once you're back home.
